    Descriptive history:
    The weight is measured at each visit. Measurements in BLSA men were begun in 1958 and in BLSA women in 1978. The weight is obtained with the subject wearing a light hospital gown and no shoes. The subject's height and weight are used to compute the BMI (Body Mass Index).
