    Descriptive history:
    The 122 file type contains data from the cortisone glucose tolerance test (CGTT). Cortisone acetate was given by mouth in two equal doses - 8 « and 2 hours before oral glucose administration. The dose was based on body weight. A table of cortisone dosage for body weight can be found in reference 3 (see below). The oral glucose dose is 1.75g/kg of body weight. It consisted of a 25% solution flavored with lemon juice and is ingested in 5 minutes. The tests were performed between January 1964 and June 1977 in BLSA men.
