    Clarification of data element descriptions:
    Sample 5 is a plasma glucose value. The sample is drawn 40 minutes after the start of the intravenous glucose infusion.

    Descriptive history:
    The 120 file type contains data from the intravenous glucose tolerance test (IVGTT). The intravenous glucose dose is 0.375g/kg of body weight and is delivered in 25 per cent dextrose solution over a period of 5 minutes. The tests were performed between January 1963 and June 1977 in BLSA men.
